To seek happiness in what others say or what others do is a futile act.

Such happiness is at best ephemeral.

So very true. But so difficult to implement. Don't we all seek happiness from the people around us? How does one control that urge?! Newayz, good thought, thanks for sharing.

Yeah we all do!
But it becomes a weakness when our happiness depends solely on external responses..
The solution, probably, is to take a middle path; be affected by other's respones but not as if its the only thing.
